Finally summer. If only it was not so hot.
Thanks to nature we have one of the tastiest fruits available in summer: watermelon.
Their water content of 90% makes them the best thirst quencher among the fruits, it is also low in fat and low in calories.
But that’s not the only advantage:
It contributes to the drainage of the body, helping to expel toxins and pollutants from the body faster, and to detoxify our kidneys and bladder.
According to a study by the University of Florida, taking watermelon over a period of 6 weeks has a hypotensive effect. It owes this to a contained amino acid, which dilates the vessels, allowing the blood to circulate better.
