One of my favorite ingredients of healthy food are legumes.

They work effectively against constipation and are also very healthy for the heart.

Lentils provide a high level of satiety and so they are a great alternative to other carbohydrate-rich products, such as pasta and rice, when you want to lose weight and look after your health.

Thanks to its protein content, lentils, and in general legumes, are a popular alternative as a source of this macronutrient for people who eat vegan foods.

By the way, the smaller varieties, e.g. red lentils cause less flatulence.
